Official Tournament Rules
Counter-Strike 1.6 - Balkans FragFest 2025
1GENERAL INFORMATION
- 1.1Game Version: Counter-Strike 1.6
- 1.2Game Mode: 5 vs 5 (team-based)
- 1.3Platform: PC only
- 1.4Team Roster: Each team must have 5 active players and may register 1 substitute
- 1.5Match Admins: Decisions made by tournament admins are final and must be respected
2MATCH FORMAT
- 2.1System: MR15 (Max Rounds 15 per half)
- 2.2Winning Condition: The first team to win 16 rounds wins the map
- 2.3Overtime:
- • Format: MR3 (3 rounds per side)
- • Starting Money: $10,000
- • Teams remain on the same side as the end of regulation
- 2.4Knife Round: Played at the start of the map to decide which team picks the starting side (T or CT)
- 2.5Side Switch: Teams switch sides automatically after 15 rounds
3MAP POOL
- 3.1Official Map Pool:
- • de_dust2
- • de_nuke
- • de_inferno
- • de_train
- • de_cbble
- 3.2Map Selection:
- • Maps will be drawn at random by the tournament organizers
- • Teams will be informed of the selected map(s) before the match begins
- • No team has the right to request a specific map or veto the selection
4GAME SETTINGS
- 4.1Starting Money: $800
- 4.2Round Time: 1 minute 45 seconds (1:45)
- 4.3Freeze Time: 10 seconds
- 4.4C4 Timer: 35 seconds
- 4.5Friendly Fire: ON
- 4.6Team Collision: ON
- 4.7Spectators: Only authorized referees or streamers are allowed
- 4.8Shield & Auto-Sniper: The Tactical Shield and Automatic Sniper are strictly prohibited. Use results in a round loss or disqualification
- 4.9Crouch Rule: Excessive crouching or "crouch spamming" to gain an unfair movement advantage is not allowed and will result in a warning or round penalty
- Setup Time: Each team has 10 minutes for settings and configuration of CS before game
5PAUSES
- 5.1Tactical Pause:
- • Each team may request one 60-second pause per half
- • Must be called before the freeze time ends
- 5.2Technical Pause:
- • May be requested in case of hardware or connection problems
- • Admins must be notified immediately
- • Abuse of pauses may lead to penalties
6PLAYER CONDUCT
- 6.1All players must use their registered nicknames
- 6.2Unsportsmanlike behavior (verbal abuse, racism, harassment, or taunting) will result in penalties or disqualification
- 6.3Aggressive behavior, including yelling at opponents, throwing peripherals, or physical intimidation, will result in immediate ejection and tournament ban
- 6.4Breaking or damaging tournament equipment (keyboards, mice, monitors, tables, etc.) will lead to fines, disqualification, and potential bans from future events
- 6.5Players must follow admin instructions at all times
- 6.6No external communication (voice or text) outside the team during a match
- 6.7No live coaching during rounds (only between halves or during pauses)
- ✓Players are allowed to use their own keyboard and mouse
7CHEATING AND BUG ABUSE
- 7.1Cheating:
- • The use of cheats, hacks, wallhacks, aimbots, or any third-party software that modifies gameplay is strictly prohibited
- • Any proven case results in immediate team disqualification and permanent ban
- 7.2Bug Abuse - The following are considered illegal:
- • Boosting through walls, floors, or ceilings
- • Pixel walking (standing on invisible ledges)
- • Silent run bug, or any movement script
- • Bomb planting in unreachable or illegal areas
- • Any other exploit that gives an unfair advantage
- 7.3Permitted Actions:
- ✓ Boosting on visible and legal map objects
- ✓ Jump throwing, silent drops, and wallbangs
8DISPUTES AND PENALTIES
- 8.1Any dispute or protest must be submitted within 10 minutes after the match ends. If a team delays the start of the game for 15 minutes or is not available, penalties may apply
- 8.2Admins reserve the right to review demos and issue punishments accordingly
- 8.3Possible penalties include:
- • Round or map loss
- • Match forfeiture
- • Temporary or permanent player bans
- • Disqualification from the tournament
9ADMIN DECISIONS
- 9.1Tournament admins have final authority in all decisions
- 9.2Admins may modify rules to ensure fair play or address unforeseen circumstances
- 9.3Failure to comply with admin rulings may result in team disqualification
